In 2nd year subjects are:
1. Microbiology
2. Pathology
3. Pharmacology
4. Dental materials
Microbiology deals with small minute organisms that can nt b sen wit nakd eyes n thus require microscope to stdy them. It includs parasites, fungi, bacteria, viruses. Subject deals wit diff species of diff organisms, their morphology, cultural requiremnts, biochemical reactions, lif cycle, diseases causd by them etc. It also tels abt cultre medias on wich organisms grow, immune systm of body, sterilisation techniques, diff types of staining.
Nw pathology deals wit various diseases includng their causes, developmnt, lab diagnosis, treatment, microscopic features, pathologic changes etc.
Moving on to pharmacology that deals wit drugs including their therapeutic uses, mechanism of action, adverse effects, dosage. Also drug interactions, clasification of al types of drugs such as anti asthmatic drugs, anaesthetic drugs, etc.
Finaly abt last subject DM. In tis u'l cam 2 knw abt various types of materials used in dentistry as name suggests. Diff materials includes impression materials, dntl cements used for restoration of teth, waxes, resins for making dentures, products of gypsum wich is one of the imp material in dentistry. Also tel abt reactns takng place in mouth by use of these materials n preventive measures 4 them.
